THE HISTORY OF A LEGEND
The reference amplifier comes from Bev Bevan*'s studio. It is an early 70s Supergroup MK1 100W head, Serial no. VS4901, with dual Partridge transformers.
The head has been rebagged into an 80s Laney AOR box in order to accomodate a cooling fan.
This amp was part of Tony Iommi's recording and gigging setup during the 70s and the 80s
The head is matched with the Supergroup 4x12 cabinet, dated 1971, and equipped with Celestion* G12H speakers.
See more pictures of the amp on the Made In Rock website.
* Bev Bevan is a Tony Iommy friend and has been the Black Sabbath drummer in 1983 and early 1984

The purpose is to preserve those items and bring their knowledge to younger generations.
Being Overloud's Fluid Capturing the most advanced capturing technology to date, it has been the perfect choice to accomplish the sound preservation task. It allows to capture and replicate every tonal and emotional details of each amp.
EVERY TONAL AND EMOTIONAL DETAIL CAPTURED
The TH-U B-SAB 100 head has two input channels. The Treble channel is brighter and more crunchy, with a lot of presence. The Bass channel has a massive amount of bass distortion and a more fuzzy tone.Bass and Treble channels can be connected with a jumper to have both channels mixed together: by using the two volume knobs you can balance the top-end and the amount of bottom-end, and experiment infinite combination of tones.
The matched cabinet is a 1970 4x12" Supergroup with Celestion* G12H speakers, which enhance the biting tone of the head. It has been captured with 18 microphones with high resolution nonlinear IRs; thanks to Overloud Fluid Convolution you can place up to 4 microhpnes in the 3D space around the cab and blend them with custom IRs. The ReSPiRe option adds the feeling of standing nearby the cabinet.

WHAT IS OVERLOUD FLUID CAPTURING?
Also called "schematic-assisted capturing", Overloud’s Fluid Capturing is an innovative amp simulation process that combines the advantages of both the modelling and capturing techniques.
An amp capture is a super realistic but static “picture” of the amp sampled with a particular knob setting and operating level. A single capture cannot replicate the amp tone at all the knob settings.
Instead, a modelled amp reacts like the original, at all dynamic ranges and knob positions. However tone may not 100% match a particular sample, due to component tolerances, tube conditions, servicing history and customizations.
With Fluid Capturing, we both model the amp and sample it with lot of different settings. Putting together these data allows us to create a digital model which is flexible like a modeled amp and realistic like a captured amp.
